Pines Group Campground sits at 3,200 feet elevation in a mixed conifer forest 15 miles from Yosemite National Park. This year-round, tent-only group facility accommodates up to 50 people. Winter camping is free, though water and toilet paper are not provided during that season. The site sits near the Tuolumne River, offering access to wading and trout fishing. Campers can hike the half-mile Little Golden Forest Trail directly from the site. The surrounding Stanislaus National Forest provides access to the Carson-Iceberg, Emigrant, and Mokelumne Wildernesses.
