Located at 5,600 feet elevation in a mixed conifer forest, Pinecrest Lake Group Picnic Area offers group sites within 100 feet of the shoreline. The sites are outfitted with group-sized pedestal grills, large picnic tables, food prep tables, food storage boxes, water hydrants, and nearby flush toilets. Visitors use the location for swimming, kayaking, sailing, and hiking the 4-mile Pinecrest National Recreation Trail around the lake. An outdoor amphitheater hosts seasonal evening movies and ranger programs, while an adjacent resort provides boat rentals, lodging, and groceries.
