Sunset Campground in CA -- Campground & RV Camping in California

Sunset Campground sits at 6,500 feet in the Sierra Nevada, shaded by a mixed evergreen forest of sugar pines, incense cedars, firs, and giant sequoias. Located across the street from Grant Grove Village, the property features two tent-only group sites, each accommodating up to 30 people and equipped with six picnic tables, fire rings, bear-proof food lockers, and paved parking. Flush toilets and drinking water are provided. Trailheads at the campground link directly to a one-mile trail leading to the General Grant Tree, as well as paths to 50-foot Ella Falls and Panoramic Point.

Getting there: Kings Canyon National Park is easily accessible from Fresno, California. Take HWY 180 East from Fresno, and proceed 55 miles to Kings Canyon National Park. Three miles east of the Big Stump Entrance Station you will find Sunset campground on your left.
