Coy Flat is a group campsite set at an elevation of 5,000 feet within Giant Sequoia National Monument, near the 4,666-acre Belknap Grove. The facility contains 19 single sites and one double site that can host up to 12 people. Hikers visit to explore nearby giant sequoia groves or hike the Bear Creek Trail as it climbs toward 9,000 feet, while anglers fish for trout in local mountain streams. Essential services are located nearby in the community of Camp Nelson.
