Setting
Alpine View Campground sits at an elevation of 2,400 feet within the Trinity Unit of the Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area. Divided into three loops (A, B, and C) beneath a canopy of Douglas fir, cedar, and ferns, the 53-unit facility features paved roads, spurs up to 32 feet, campfire rings, picnic tables, and drinking water. Several accessible sites, paved social areas, and three accessible flush-toilet restrooms cater to visitors with mobility needs. The Bowerman boat ramp is a quarter-mile away, offering access to Trinity Lake.
Getting there: From Weaverville: take Highway 3 north for 22.5 miles. Turn right on Guy Covington Drive for 2.4 miles to the campground.
