Woodson Bridge State Recreation Area is a 324-acre oak woodland park along the Sacramento River between Chico and Red Bluff, 6 miles east of Corning. The setting features native oak, cottonwood, and sycamore trees characteristic of riparian ecosystems. The campground offers tent and RV sites with restrooms, showers, drinking water, and picnic areas. Visitors can hike over one mile of trails, fish the Sacramento River, observe Bald Eagles and other wildlife, or access the adjacent 260-acre natural preserve across the river by boat. The park operates seasonally April through September.
