Built in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, Post Creek Guard Station sits on a ridge above Beegum Gorge in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. The two-room, 19x30-foot cabin sleeps up to six people using a queen bed, twin bed, and pullout futon. Indoors, you will find a table, chairs, a flushing toilet, and a sink for washing dishes with supplied running water. There is no electricity, indoor heat, stove, or refrigerator, and drinking water must be brought in. Outdoor facilities feature a picnic table and fire pit. Beegum Creek and a swimming hole lie within walking distance.
