Setting
Sarah Totten Campground sits in a shaded area at 1,400 feet elevation along the Klamath River in the Klamath National Forest. The property features nine single-family sites and two group sites accommodating up to 30 people each, equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, and grills. On-site facilities include accessible vault toilets, drinking water spigots, and a trash collection area. A sandy boat launch provides direct access to Class II-III river waters for whitewater rafting, kayaking, tubing, and drift-boat fishing. The historic remnants of old Hamburg are located nearby.
Getting there: From I-5, take exit 786 to Highway 96 (Klamath River Highway). Follow Highway 96 west for about 35 miles. The campground entrance is on the right, about 1 mile east of Hamburg, CA.
