Setting
Big Flat Campground features nine campsites and a small livestock corral at the doorstep of the Trinity Alps Wilderness. On-site facilities are limited to vault toilets, with no drinking water or trash collection provided. The campground serves as a trailhead base for backcountry routes into the wilderness, including the trail to Caribou Lakes.
Getting there: From I-5, take South Yreka exit. Go south on Hwy 3 for 63 miles to Coffee Creek Guard Station. Turn Right, and continue on Coffee Creek Rd for approx. 18 miles to campground.
