Setting
Upper Little Truckee Campground sits along the banks of the Little Truckee River at an elevation of 6,200 feet, roughly 12 miles north of Truckee in Tahoe National Forest. Shaded by lodgepole pine, aspen, and juniper, the campground features single-family sites equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings, with select campsites overlooking the river. On-site facilities include vault toilets and drinking water. The location provides easy access to river fishing for rainbow and brown trout, as well as nearby hiking, mountain biking, and off-highway vehicle trail networks.
Getting there: From either east bound or west bound Interstate 80 in Truckee take exit 188, Highway 89 north to Sierraville. In aproximately 12 miles turn left into the campground.
