Setting
Gold Lake Campground sits at 6,445 feet on the eastern shore of Gold Lake along Gray Eagle Creek, set among fir and aspen trees beneath Mt. Elwell. The site features 38 non-electric campsites equipped with picnic tables and fire rings, with vault toilets and portable toilets on site. Visitors have direct access to the 1-mile Grassy Lakes Trail, connecting to a 30-mile trail network and the Pacific Crest Trail, as well as a nearby boat ramp for trout fishing.
