Setting
Fiddle Creek Campground sits along the north bank of the North Yuba River off Highway 49, 12 miles from Downieville. Shaded by oak, maple, locust, and pine trees, the campground features tent-only, single-family sites. Campsites are walk-in from the adjacent parking areas and come equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, and bear-proof food lockers. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided. The river offers swimming, kayaking, tubing, and trout fishing, with footbridge access to the North Yuba Trail located at neighboring Rocky Rest Campground.
Getting there: From Downieville, travel south on Highway 49 for about 12 miles. The campground is on the left side of the highway. From Nevada City, travel north on Highway 49 for 30 miles. The campground is on the right side of the higway.
