Campground details
Setting
East Meadow Campground sits on the northeastern shore of Jackson Meadow Reservoir in a forest of pine and fir, with views of the Sierra Crest and English Mountain. The campground features single- and double-family sites equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings, alongside drinking water and both flush and vault toilets. Select sites offer lake views, and informal boat mooring is available nearby. Water sports, swimming, and trout fishing are primary draws, with a public boat ramp nearby at Pass Creek and the Pacific Crest Trail running along the eastern side of the lake.
Getting there: Take Interstate 80 to the Truckee/Highway 89 North exit. Follow Highway 89 north for 17 miles, to the turnoff for Jackson Meadows. Travel west on Forest Road 07 for 18 miles to Jackson Meadows Reservoir. Turn into the campground at the Pass Creek Campground sign.
