Sheep Camp Primitive Campground is a walk-in, tent-only facility set under ponderosa pines and firs in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. Located 25 feet from a tight parking area where trailers and RVs are prohibited, the four sites overlook Brandy Creek. Each site includes a picnic table, fire pit with barbecue grill, lamp pole, and bear-resistant storage locker. The camp offers one vault toilet but lacks drinking water and electricity. Trails lead to local waterfalls and up Shasta Bally Mountain, while Brandy Creek Beach sits 3.5 miles south on 3,200-acre Whiskeytown Lake.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Overhead clearance here is posted at 20 ft -- the tightest site sets the limit. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.
