Setting
Pine Point Campground lies along the McCloud Arm of Shasta Lake within the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. The facility provides campsites suited for both tent and RV campers, with each site featuring a paved parking spur, tent pad, picnic table, grill, fire ring, and bear box. Basic amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Boating, waterskiing, and fishing for trout and bass are popular on the lake, with the nearest public boat ramp located 4 miles away at Hirz Bay.
Getting there: From Redding, California: Take I-5 to Gilman Road. (From the north, take Salt Creek exit to Gilman Road). Take Gilman Road east for 18 miles to the entrance of Pine Point Campground.
