Manzanita Lake Group Campground sits at 5,900 feet near the northern entrance of Lassen Volcanic National Park, surrounded by Jeffrey and ponderosa pines. The facility provides group sites equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, and food storage lockers, along with flush toilets, showers, and drinking water. Located a short walk from Manzanita Lake, the campground offers immediate access to non-motorized boating, kayak rentals, fly fishing, and over 150 miles of park hiking trails, with views of nearby Lassen Peak.
Getting there: From Redding, California, take State Highway 48 miles east. Turn right into Lassen Volcanic National Park and continue one mile south to Manzanita Lake Campground. Proceed to Loop B and go west to the back side of the loop where the group campsites are located.
