Dry Creek Group Campground is a tent-only facility on the southern shore of Whiskeytown Lake in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, 14 miles west of Redding, California. The campground sits under a canopy of conifer, oak, and maple trees and features two spacious group sites overlooking the water. On-site amenities include cleared fire pit areas, charcoal barbecue grills, large serving tables, picnic tables, bear-proof storage lockers, vault toilets, and drinking water. Boats can be launched at the nearby Brandy Creek Marina and moored directly at the campground shoreline.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
Shasta Bally stands 4,959 ft above the site, 4.3 miles southwest. The Whiskeytown Lake shoreline is 0.1 mi off. A group campground -- 2 sit on the water, most of them shaded. Night skies measure Bortle 2 -- true dark-sky territory. The nearest town, Shasta, is 5.8 mi off.
