Bailey Cove Campground sits in a forested section of the McCloud Arm on Shasta Lake, offering seven accessible sites with tent pads, picnic tables, raised fire rings, bear boxes, and paved spurs. Facilities include flush toilets, drinking water, an adjoined day-use area with picnic tables and grills, and an adjacent public boat ramp. Hikers and mountain bikers can access the 3-mile Bailey Cove Trail directly from the grounds as it circles the shoreline. Osprey nest in the surrounding forest, and the private Lake Shasta Caverns are located nearby.
Getting there: Bailey Cove campground is located 15 miles north of Redding, CA. Take I-5 into O'Brien, CA. Exit Shasta Caverns Road to Bailey Cove entrance. (approximately 1 miles off I-5).
