Campground details
Setting
Antlers Campground sits on a forested bluff of pine, oak, and manzanita overlooking the Sacramento arm of Shasta Lake. The facility offers primitive sites for tents and RVs equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, grills, and food storage lockers, but has no electric hookups or dump stations. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets, flush toilets, and a weekend amphitheater. While direct water access is unavailable from the bluffs, a public boat launch sits adjacent to the grounds, and Lake Shasta Caverns is nearby.
Getting there: Antlers Campground is located 25 miles north of Redding from I-5 (which crosses over Shasta Lake twice). Exit I-5 at the Lakeshore Drive/Antlers Road exit in the town of Lakehead, CA. From the end of the ramp, go east at the stop sign. Turn right on Antlers Road and go about 1 mile to the campground entrance on the right.
