Seasonal family campground in Big Basin Redwoods State Park, sheltered beneath old growth coast redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains northwest of Santa Cruz. The forest site provided shaded camping with access to multiple trails and Sempervirens Creek. Part of California's first state park established in 1902, Big Basin preserves the largest continuous stand of ancient redwoods south of San Francisco. Family-oriented site within the park's protected old growth forest.
