Backpackers-only trail camp in Castle Rock State Park amid the rugged Santa Cruz Mountains, offering remote overnight access to 34 miles of interconnected trails including the famous Skyline-to-the-Sea Trail. The camp sits among distinctive Tafone sandstone formations in redwood forest. Amenities are minimal: drinking water is available and firewood is sold on-site, with walk-in access only. No campfires currently permitted; dogs prohibited on trails and in camp.
