Santa Barbara Island in CA -- Campground & RV Camping in California

Santa Barbara Island Campground features 10 primitive campsites set on coastal bluffs with open ocean views. Located a quarter-mile hike up a steep 200-foot trail from the Landing Cove dock, the facility provides picnic tables, food storage boxes, and pit toilets. Campers must pack in all gear, food, and drinking water. Water access is limited to the Landing Cove dock below, as the rest of the one-square-mile island consists of steep cliffs and grassy mesas. Five miles of trails cross the island, leading past seabird nesting colonies to Signal Peak.

Getting there: Boat transportation can be arranged with Island Packers from Ventura Harbor. To park headquarters in Ventura, California: Highway 101, exit Victoria or Seaward to Ventura Harbor.
