Setting
Paradise Campground sits in an oak woodland at 1,000 feet in the Santa Ynez Mountains of Los Padres National Forest. The facility offers just over a dozen tent and RV sites on paved spurs, with accessible flush toilets and drinking water available. Each site includes a picnic table, campfire ring, and pedestal grill, though utility hookups and dump stations are absent. A pedestrian tunnel under Paradise Road grants access to the Santa Ynez River at White Rock Day-Use Area. Local footpaths include the 2.5-mile Aliso National Recreation Trail and the 18-mile Santa Cruz Trail.
Getting there: From Santa Barbara, take Highway 154 for approximately 9 miles to Paradise Road. Turn right and continue on Paradise Road to the campground.
