Setting
Nira Campground sits along Manzana Creek under a canopy of oak trees in the Los Padres National Forest. The site features 12 campsites equipped with picnic tables, barbecue grills, and fire rings, with sites 1 through 3 restricted to tent and car camping while others fit small RVs under 20 feet. A vault toilet is on site, but there is no drinking water. Located just upstream from Davy Brown Creek, the campground has an on-site trailhead providing direct access to hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and backpacking routes into the adjacent San Rafael Wilderness.
Getting there: To get there from Hwy 154: Armour Ranch Rd./ Happy Canyon Rd. 11 miles northeast to Cachuma Saddle, Sunset Valley Rd. 6 miles north.
