Figueroa Campground sits among manzanita, oaks, and pines atop Figueroa Mountain in Los Padres National Forest. The site features 33 campsites equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and pedestal barbecues, accommodating RVs up to 25 feet without hookups. Facilities include three wheelchair-accessible double vault toilets and trash dumpsters, but no drinking water is provided. The campground acts as a central hub for area trails, offering access to the Davy Brown/Fir Canyon and Ballard trails, as well as nearby entry points to the San Rafael Wilderness.
Road difficulty 4 of 5 -- a difficult drive in. Recorded as maintained only for high-clearance vehicles, dirt, pitching to 14%, 100% of it on a shelf. Overhead clearance here is posted at 14 ft -- the tightest site sets the limit. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.
