Setting
Los Prietos Campground sits in an oak-shaded mountain setting in Los Padres National Forest, 19 miles inland from Santa Barbara. The facility features dozens of unhooked single-family tent and RV sites equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, pedestal grills, flush toilets, and drinking water. The Santa Ynez River is accessible less than half a mile away at White Rock, while the 2.5-mile Aliso National Recreation Trail begins near the entrance. Cachuma Lake is located 10 miles northwest for boating and fishing.
Getting there: From Highway 101 in Santa Barbara, turn east onto Highway 154 and continue about 11 miles. Turn onto Paradise Road and travel about 3 miles to the campground.
