Butano Trail Camp is a backcountry camping area 5.5 miles from Butano State Park's visitor center via the Butano Fire Road. The camp has 8 walk-in sites with pit toilets but no piped water; bring your own supply. Located deep in the park's redwood canyons, the site connects a loop trail system through the creek drainages. No campfires or dogs allowed; cook with backpack stoves only. Reservations required; fees apply.
