Group campsite accommodating up to fifty people within Caswell Memorial State Park, a 258-acre preserve of riparian oak woodland along the Stanislaus River in San Joaquin County. Tent-only camping with vehicles parked in nearby lot and short walk to group site. Shared amenities include fire rings, picnic tables, and bear-proof food lockers. Access to park's main facilities: hot showers, flush toilets, drinking water. Stanislaus River offers swimming, fishing (bass, catfish, crappie), and boating. Extensive trail system through old-growth valley oak forest for hiking and wildlife viewing.
