Burnt Rancheria Campground sits at 6,000 feet in the Laguna Mountain Recreation Area off the Sunrise Scenic Byway. Heavily shaded by pines and oak groves, the facility consists of several loops of single-family sites equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings. Flush restrooms and coin-operated showers are open during the summer reservation season, though there are no RV hookups or dump stations on site. Campers can access a segment of the Pacific Crest Trail directly from the campground or take a short hike to the Desert View Picnic Site overlooking the valley.
