North Shore Campground sits in an oak woodland in the San Bernardino National Forest, three miles from the community of Lake Arrowhead. Designed primarily for tent camping with limited RV space, the campsites feature tables and campfire rings with grills. On-site facilities include flush toilets and drinking water. The 1.7-mile North Shore National Recreation Trail departs directly from the campground, descending through conifer forests along Little Bear Creek toward Papoose Lake. Lake Gregory is located 40 minutes away for public swimming, fishing, and boat rentals.

Getting there: From San Bernardino, take Highway 18 about 20 miles to the Lake Arrowhead exit. Take Highway 173 for 5 miles to the northeast side of the lake. Turn right on Hospital Road and follow it to the campground.
