Crab Flats Campground is a primitive off-road staging camp located in the San Bernardino National Forest among pine, oak, and cedar trees near Green Valley Lake. Accessed by an unpaved road across Deep Creek, the facility provides single-family sites for tents and RVs up to 26 feet. Each site includes a table, campfire ring with grill, bear box, and access to vault toilets. The campground connects directly to off-road and hiking routes like Crab Creek Trail, Redonda Ridge Trail, Crab Flat Loop, and Holcomb Valley Road, with fishing and boating six miles away at Green Valley Lake.
Getting there: From Running Springs, travel toward Arrowbear, to Green Valley Road. Turn left, drive approximately 4 miles to Crab Flats Campground sign. Turn left and continue about 4 miles to the campground.
