Black Rock Horse Campground is an equestrian-only camping facility located at an elevation of 4,000 feet on the northern edge of Joshua Tree National Park. The layout is set within a dense Joshua tree forest surrounded by desert terrain. Built to accommodate horse trailers and RVs, the campground provides drinking water, flush toilets, and a RV dump station, but does not feature individual utility hookups. The site functions as a direct staging hub for trail riding and hiking routes into the surrounding desert ridges.
