Setting
Barton Flats Campground sits at 6,360 feet in the San Bernardino Mountains off the Rim of the World Scenic Byway, with paved aprons set among pine and oak trees. It features single and double sites for tents and RVs without hookups, alongside an RV dump station. Amenities include flush toilets, showers, drinking water, fire rings, grills, and firewood sales. The site connects directly to the Santa Ana River Trail and the Rio Monte Trail, with trout and bass fishing available nearby at the Santa Ana River and Jenks Lake.
Getting there: Take I-10 East to Redlands. Take the University Street exit, EXIT 80. Turn left (northbound) on University Street. Turn right onto E. Lugonia Avenue/SR-38. Continue on State Highway 38 for approximately 18 miles to the campground entrance.
