National Park Service allows overnight stays only at the designated sites here.

Situated among oak trees and a seasonal creek on the east side of Pinnacles National Park, Pinnacles Campground features tent sites, group sites, and RV sites with electric hookups. On-site facilities include flush toilets, drinking water, showers, a general store, and a seasonal swimming pool open April through September. The campground connects directly to the park's 30-mile trail network via the Bench Trail, giving hikers and rock climbers access to Bear Gulch Reservoir, talus caves, Machete Ridge, and soaring California condors.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.

North Chalone Peak stands 1,276 ft above the site, 1.7 miles southwest. 1 hike-in site -- one sits on the water. The Bear Gulch Reservoir shoreline is 0.8 mi off. The nearest town, Soledad, is 9.4 mi off.

September normals 5889°F, 0.1″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
