Round Valley is a primitive wilderness campground in Mount San Jacinto State Wilderness with 19 tent sites at approximately 9,124 feet elevation. Accessible only by hiking from Idyllwild-area trailheads, the site offers vault toilets and a water spigot with water requiring filtration or purification. The campground serves as a major wilderness hub with multiple trail corridors converging here. Located near San Jacinto Peak, the setting provides extensive backcountry travel opportunities. A wilderness camping permit is required.
