Setting
Long Point Campground is located on a peninsula along the southwestern shore of Antelope Lake in Plumas National Forest. Situated at an elevation of 5,000 feet, the site is surrounded by pine and fir trees with views of the water from most campsites. Facilities accommodate single families and larger groups for tent and RV camping, providing picnic tables, campfire rings with grills, vault toilets, and drinking water. Shoreline variations around the point feature both shallow areas suitable for wading and deeper water where boats can be anchored near camp.
Getting there: Located 30 miles northeast of Taylorsville, on the Genesee-Antelope Lake Road. From Janesville, take County Road 208 for 4 miles and turn onto Forest Service road 28N01 for 9 miles, then turn right on Forest Service road 28N03 and continue for 2 miles.
