Hutchins Group Campground sits at 5,000 feet in the Plumas National Forest within walking distance of 1,820-acre Bucks Lake. Heavily impacted by the 2021 Dixie Fire, the site has been cleared of hazard trees, leaving an open landscape without natural shade. It offers three large group campsites for tent and RV camping, each equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, grills, and vault toilets. There is currently no drinking water on site. Nearby Sandy Point provides a public boat launch, while trailheads for the PCT and Bucks Creek Loop sit a short drive away at Bucks Summit.
