Setting
Hallsted Campground sits in the Feather River Canyon at 2,300 feet in the northern Sierra Nevada. Shaded by mature pine and fir trees, the facility offers single-family tent and trailer sites with picnic tables, campfire rings, and grills. Widened and lengthened spurs accommodate larger rigs, and select sites include power hookups. On-site facilities feature new flush toilets, showers, drinking water, and a walking path leading straight down to the North Fork of the Feather River. A general store in Twain is under a half-mile away, while Quincy sits 17 miles east for fuel.
Getting there: From Oroville, travel east on Highway 70 for about 65 miles. From Quincy, travel west on Highway 70 for 17 miles.
