North Fork Campground sits along the North Fork of the North Fork American River in the Tahoe National Forest, shaded by cedar, pine, and fir trees. The layout includes single-family campsites, with select sites reserved for tent camping only. Each campsite features a picnic table and campfire ring, supported by shared vault toilets and drinking water. A river swimming hole is a short walk from the campground loop, and visitors fish for rainbow trout in the creek-sized river. Nearby trails offer hiking into the Wild and Scenic River canyon and the Grouse Ridge Non-Motorized Area.
