Boat-in-only campground on Lake Clementine, a reservoir on the North Fork American River near Auburn, created in 1939. Accessible exclusively by water; Lower Lake area features boat-in camping surrounded by dramatic terrain. The lake spans approximately 3.5 miles long and offers boating, kayaking, fishing, and gold panning (seasonal). Nearby limestone formations like Robbers Roost provide climbing and scenic opportunities. Hiking, running, and mountain biking trails access the shoreline and surrounding Sierra foothills.
