Lewis Campground sits in a coniferous forest on the northern shore of French Meadows Reservoir within the Tahoe National Forest. The campground provides single-family campsites along paved roads and parking spurs, with select accessible sites available. Each campsite is furnished with a picnic table and a grill, while drinking water, flush toilets, and vault toilets are located throughout the loop. McGuire boat ramp is situated less than a mile away, and nearby trailheads provide access to the Middle Fork American River, Western States Trail, and Granite Chief Wilderness.
