Forbes Creek Group Campground sits at 3,600 feet elevation near the southeast shore of Sugar Pine Reservoir in Tahoe National Forest. Shaded by cedar and ponderosa pine, the facility offers two group sites—Madrone and Rocky Ridge—that each accommodate up to 50 people and 18 vehicles. Each site has a central cooking area, multiple picnic tables, a large campfire circle, and accessible parking for RVs, trailers, or tents. Campers visit to swim, canoe, and fish in the 160-acre reservoir, using an internal trail system that connects to the water, a nearby boat ramp, and off-road trails.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
The Sugar Pine Reservoir shoreline is 0.2 mi off. A group campground -- most of them shaded. The nearest town, Foresthill, is 9.1 mi off.
