Upper Moro Ridge Environmental Campground in CA -- Campground & RV Camping in California

One of three backcountry camping areas within Crystal Cove State Park with thirteen primitive campsites accessed via a 2.5-mile hike gaining 974 feet in elevation. Located on a ridge amid oak and coastal sage scrub, the campground provides vault toilets and picnic tables. Campers must bring all water and pack out all waste. No campfires or pets allowed. The elevated ridge position offers coastal views and access to miles of hiking and biking trails threading through the park's diverse terrain.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.
