Falcon Group in CA -- Campground & RV Camping

Group campground in Cleveland National Forest with three campsites (Lupine, Sage, Yarrow) northwest of Ortega Highway. Vault toilets only; no water. Accessible from Lake Elsinore side due to Caltrans closures. Reservations via Recreation.gov.

Getting there: From Southern California, take U.S. Highway 15 to State Highway 74 (Ortega Highway) in Lake Elsinore. Travel 6 miles west of Lake Elsinore on 74 and turn north on North Main Divide Road. Proceed 5 miles to Falcon Campground. From I-5, exit for Ortega Highway (State Highway 74). Take 74 east approximately 27 miles to North Main Divide Road. Turn north and proceed 5 miles to Falcon Campground.

• Flat ground is scarce: under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.
• Los Pinos Peak stands 1,201 ft above the map pin, 0.9 miles northwest.
• Estimated night sky: Bortle 4, a rural sky with a glow on the horizon.
