Ponderosa Campground in Los Padres National Forest offers 21 campsites along a mountain stream under Ponderosa Pine, Oak, Madrone, and Sycamore. Each site has a table and fire ring. Vault toilets and potable water are available. No utility hookups. RVs up to 35 feet welcome. 19 sites reservable at $35/night; 2 first-come sites. Maximum 14-day stay. The Nacimiento River nearby provides trout fishing access.
Getting there: Campground is only available to access via the 101 side, the Highway 1/ Nacimiento Road Access is CLOSED. From Monterey, Take highway 68 to the 101. Accessible through Highway 101 exit Jolon Road. From Los Angeles/South take highway 101 to the Jolon Road exit, follow until campground.
