Hilltop group campground within Fremont Peak State Park located 11 miles south of San Juan Bautista in the Gabilan Range, accommodating up to 50 people for tent camping. The site features campfire rings, picnic tables, and vault toilets. From the campground, expansive views sweep across Monterey Bay, San Benito Valley, Salinas Valley, and the distant Santa Lucia Mountains. The park's Fremont Peak Observatory with a 30-inch telescope hosts public programs on selected summer evenings. Miles of hiking trails traverse the surrounding grasslands and oak woodlands.
