Setting
Honeymoon Flat Campground sits at 7,000 feet elevation along Robinson Creek, eight miles from Bridgeport, California. Divided into two loops along Twin Lakes Road, the west loop offers shade from Jeffrey and lodgepole pines with paved spurs, while the open east loop features gravel spurs amid sagebrush and wildflowers. Single and double sites include tables, fire rings, grills, food lockers, drinking water, and vault toilets. Campers come to fish for rainbow trout in the creek or travel two miles to Upper and Lower Twin Lakes for boating and access to the Hoover Wilderness.
Getting there: Take U.S. Highway 395 through Bridgeport. Turn south on Twin Lakes Road at the Shell gas station. Travel 8 miles on Twin Lakes Road. Turn right at Honeymoon Campground.
