Situated in a gulch 4 miles north of Highway 139 near Canby, Howard's Gulch offers camping in Modoc National Forest's Devil's Garden Ranger District. The campground features vault toilets, a short nature-viewing trail, and access to the Highway 139 Auto Tour and interpretive sites. Potable water is currently unavailable. Campsites cost $15 per night with an additional $5 per vehicle; maximum 14-day stay. Facilities typically open mid-May through late October.
