Remote beachfront camping on California's Lost Coast, the only drive-in campground at Sinkyone Wilderness State Park. Camping in meadow overlooks Usal Beach's 2-mile-long dark sand beach with waterfall at north end. Primitive facilities: no potable water or toilet paper supplied; visitors pack all supplies in and trash out. Access via 20-mile unpaved Usal Road from Four Corners requires 2+ hours and four-wheel drive; closed in rainy season. Tide pools, sea stacks, seasonal wildflowers, birdwatching, and fishing in undeveloped coastal setting.
