Climbs 1,000 ft over 7 miles through 11 switchbacks, with sustained grades near 14% and pitches to 36%. Stretches run along a shelf with a drop of up to ~110 ft on the downhill side. Dead-end road with no mapped turnaround, so expect to back out or unhitch.
Crow Peak stands 2,176 ft above the site, 1.2 miles northwest. East Fork Chowchilla River runs 0.2 mi off. A well-travelled stretch, with camps along here. Private here, with the nearest through road 0.9 miles off.
